Your Questions Answered — MOTs, Servicing & Repairs
Whether it's your first visit or your fifteenth, it helps to know what to expect. Below you'll find clear answers to the questions we hear most often about MOTs, servicing, repairs and bookings. Still stuck? Our team is always happy to talk it through!
How do I book a service or MOT?
Fill in the booking form with your vehicle registration, the service you need, and your preferred date and time. We'll confirm your slot by email, usually within one working hour.
What services do you offer?
MOT tests, full and interim servicing, diagnostics, brakes, tyres, exhausts, air-conditioning regas, and general repairs. If you're not sure what you need, describe the issue in the booking notes and we'll advise.
How long will my car take?
An MOT typically takes around 45–60 minutes. An interim service takes a couple of hours and a full service most of the day. For repairs, we'll give you a timeframe once we've diagnosed the problem.
Can I wait while the work is done?
Yes — for MOTs and shorter jobs you're welcome to wait in reception. For longer work, choose "Drop off" or "Collection" on the form.
What's the difference between an MOT and a service?
An MOT is a legal annual safety and emissions check. A service is preventative maintenance — oil, filters, fluids and wear checks — that keeps the car reliable and can extend its life. They're separate things, though many drivers book them together.
How much will it cost?
Service and MOT prices are fixed, and we'll always quote before starting any additional repair work. No work is carried out without your approval.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
If you could call us at least 24 hours ahead and we'll move your booking free of charge.
